Information

NEWSPARK (Japan Newspaper Museum) is a facility where visitors can learn about the information society and the role of newspapers and journalism through hands-on experience.

The permanent exhibition on the third floor consists of three zones: "History of Newspapers", "Information Society and Newspapers", and "Let's Learn About Newspapers”. Those exhibits on the history of newspapers and the importance of the ability to discern information, visitors can learn about the passion of newspaper reporters who are on the move day and night, and the process of how newspapers are delivered, with hands-on exhibits.

In the "Yokohama Time Travel" game, visitors can use a tablet device to play the role of a newspaper reporter and solve the mysteries of Yokohama on a diorama that recreates the streets of the Yokohama area.

The "Create Your Own Newspaper" (no reservation required), where you can make your own newspaper, and the simulation game where you try your hand at delivering newspapers on a bicycle is very popular with adults and children alike! Special exhibitions and various events are also held.

The museum café, which fits perfectly with the building facing the beautiful ginkgo tree-lined Nihon Boulevard, offers delicious cakes and coffee.
