Information

Mount Okura, the stage for the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, offers a truly unique vantage point.
The Mount Okura Observation Deck is the only facility from which you can overlook Sapporo through the ski jump ramp.

From the observation deck located at the starting point of the 307-meter-high ski jump, the panoramic view of Sapporo city, as well as the Ishikari Plain, is breathtaking, with the cityscape visible through the ski jump approach.

One of the appealing aspects is the opportunity to see the landscape from the perspective of ski jumpers.

Especially, the night view from the Mount Okura Observation Deck is a must-see. Sapporo's night view, along with Nagasaki and Kitakyushu, has been selected as one of the "Three New Major Night Views of Japan."

The view of the city, beautifully illuminated and spread along the mountain ridgeline, is a sight unique to this location within Sapporo.
